Ah If the savior is shot down does the pilot of the killing aircraft get 2 kills awarded? sort of like killing two birds with one stone :)

Oberleutnant Rudolf Rösch, squadleader of the 9./KG51 received the Knight Cross on March 26th 1944. He landed his plane 80 kilometers behind enemy lines to rescue the crew of a Ju88 which had to ditch there.

So - Ju88 is definitively good for rescue operations :)

    PS. Did I ever mentioned that I like the Ju88 ? :D

IMO that should be available only for TAXi plane such as Ju52 or Li2.
Both ways, to capture and to save a pilot. A fighters should be only cover for diched plane, or to kill a diched plane. :)

IMO it's best (for starters at least) to allow this feature for all planes. That way it's going to be used... I don't think that we'll ever see a ten plane race to save a downed pilot :D

unless...."ten bucks via Paypal to whoever saves my streak!!!"

    :D:D:D

Why should planes be restricted to which types can pick people up? All through the war fighter pilots would pick up downed comrades. And Its known that especially in ground attack roles like dive bombing ju87's, that it was very common to pick up your downed squad mates.

how about the pilots that ditched at sea? seaplanes would be nice here. a sea rescue mission would be fun imo, especially as squadron action.

Me and some of the Grifo Squadron were testing this feature on saturday. Strafe discovered this comand trying another comand. When I was saved and the savior landed and got tower, appeared that I have been captured by reds. The other problem was on the speed. In 109 the speed is marked by Km/h nd we had to pass at speed of 200 Km/h to save and less than d1. It was like you were almost in the stall listening that noise and equilibrateyour plane with ruders and stuffs, and you have to type .save -nick- at the same moment. Using copy and past is hard too. I don´t want try to save pilots with 190 =P
By the way, rescue mission is very funny hueheueheuhue =D

Can't you type the command in advance (like with commandos) and press enter at the right time?

and is it 200kmh or 200 mph?

Airfax, the porblem is that d1 is a distance very short and it s very dificult to see the "D" when you fly over your friend. I use that, i type first and in 109 or 190 cockpit for example, the "head" of pilot is in one side of the cokcpit and i use it to see better, but even so...is very dificult.

Exec said that minimum speed was 200 mph or 230?? km h, but when i tested yesterday i had to fly in less of 200 kmh , very dicult and in a zone of combat much even...
