It's just a matter of knowing (like what happens with kilbee) that they're able to fly any plane in an excelent way. If i wrote a plane together with their name, it's because i've seen them mostly flying that plane. You're good (maybe  ), in your ki61, but only in that plane. However, kilbee can kill you in a typhoon, spt, 190, 109... Same for ada, duriel, thug, bullet, and many many other pilots. So nothing is taken away by putting their prefered plane, it's just the ones i've seen them in mostly. Their skills have nothing to see with putting the plane or anyting.

What makes you think i made my list based in scorepages? Kilbee hardly ever appears in scorepages, as he clears his scores very often. Duriel/pisek too, an now, for example, his scores aren't brightful, but amazing. I mean, he has 500k points "only", but his k/s, k/d... ratios are amazin. Something out of your reach, squirl's reach, mine... that's why we're not in the list, as bladeo or torsti aren't either. I just put myself in to avoid exec's woodpecker option :p

@reuben: Thx, but i was just lucky that times. I hardly ever get a kill with 37mm, but thx :)

thefox, jochen, haupt, stec, kopi - 109's
    ada- yak9
    mart, broz- p39
    bullet- F4F
    spuint (aka kilbee)- 190A4 lite
    duriel- Spitfire I, II, P-51
helrza- just anything with Hispanos onboard
badmad would be in that list... but he represents the lowest form of morale in the game.

My proposition for the "old members, but still lame like complete greenhorns"- poll
1.&2. squirl and allsop-> they prefer to bitch instead of learning, they never accept failure in a honorable way.
    3. tzebra-> when he's airborn he probably won't rtb... but bitch about 3vs1 or something smilar (he usually enters the fight with advantage, so he could just make 1-2 passes and run... instead he tries to die without reason)
    4. israel-> for killstealing, bitching about red planes and no skill at all... and so on and so forth.

Se before you go shouting your ignorant mouth off, try buying a decent connection and downloading some REAL guncams from WWII. The shit I have seen some pilots do to stay alive is unreal.

    This excerpt came from the Wikipedia BoB page;

I also have a book from a British pilot, and whilst I wont re-read the whole back just to find this one quote, I distinctly remember him telling about times over the Battle of France where he would become physically sick in his cockpit at the Gs he was pulling, just to evade an enemy pilot's guns, often blacking out completely and awakening at 5k feet and such.

Then you have someone like Jochen Marseille, who trained his body to withstand unbelievable G forces which could make him produce maneuvres that other pilots could only wonder at.

    And then....

Consider that some of the pilots in this sim have got more 'flying hours' than ANY WWII pilot ever had, and know their specialised planes better than the back of their own hand, and you wonder how people are able to perform outrageous maneuvres (stick-stirring as you call it  ) in these planes.

As biz said, do you want people to just fly straight and level so you can kill them?

Duriel is the ONE of course, if he is in 109 or spit, he is very dangerous and often kill about 6-7 guys in sortie, but if he is in p47 with max ammo, 10-12 is normal number :turret:

Well, mart, of course. But to my great sorrow I meet him in the ack mostly last time :) With rather sad outcome for me :D

jefim, (would add conrad as well) -- people that are ready to accept a fight at all conditions. Excellent plane handling, no dirty tricks (ack hugging and so on), tactically wise, aggressive, E-management, no matter what plane. People get fun from the fight and ready to share that fun with the opponent. Much respect :)

thug... Damn... I am nervous even sitting on his 6 :D He does those fucking scizzors better than me :D So far the only pilot I still cannot be on par. Don't even remember if I have downed him at least once in 1 vs 1 :)

My best (active) pilot list is :
-thug- and big-jo i can put any word found in a dictonary that would discribe a top fighter and it would fit perfectly. Thug fights to the end no mather how bad the odds are. BIG S! for that. Big-jo uses more SA but stil when he decides to stay and fight its a tremendous and hard fight.
-jfm-- maybe i won a dogfight against you but still i was amazed of your SA as you suprised me many times in p39 and blast me to hell with that big canon (really impresive aiming)
duriel always a though bastard never an easy kill. Shame i dont recall more precacly any dogfight with you but i remember there where very hard.
-ada-- we had many great dogfights very intensive and joyfull (probobly becouse i was able to win some :super: ) top notch fighter.

Bomber pilots who survive a high fraction of their sorties & close fields are the best.

    Well, I voted for jefim.

Tactics-savvy(thus hard to be jumped by surprise) and good plane control which makes him VERY dangerous in 1-vs-1 fight. Almost deadly for the less careful ppl out there.
