?

Do Golds need more bomb load sets for Fw190's family?

  1. Yes, new historical loads (4x50kg, 8x50kg, 2x250kg, 1x500kg) should be added

Are you worrying about these planes/loads?
    Code:
    Fw 190A-6/U3 5 2x MG 151/20 (2x 200) 4x SC50 2x SC250
    Fw 190F-8 4 2x MG 131 (2x 475) 2x MG 151/20 (2x 200) 4x SC50 2x SC250

Indeed, I have no proofs that Fw190 with 4x50kg under fuselage and 2x250kg flew in real. How reasonable it was and how often did German use it. Need photos, data or so...

But it was possible to fly with 250kg/500kg under fuselage and 2x250kg under wings or to take gas tank under fuselage and 2x250kg under wings on several models of Fw190, cause they had used the same ETC-501/502/503 under-fuselage mounted bomb rack. And it was possible to take 4x50kg bombs using the ER4 adapter, which could be mounted to the ETC-501/502/503 bomb rack.

Does anyone have photos with 4x50kg bombs under fuselage and 250kg bombs under each wing for Fw190? Please post links or send an PM to me if you have some.

The fw190f was heavily armored with a notible 30mm protection in the front windshield. Not to mention there were many varients and used varients that were torpedo planes. Not to mention the loadouts already mentioned, the fw190 would also carry a 250kg bomb loaded with 11-17 smaller bombs of varying size for light armor/ ground target attack, AKA a shit smear of a bomb that would kill light targets if even put near the target.

Oh, and as far as needing pictures. you show me an i15 or i16 with real rockets /hvars and not the bottle rocket style "inaccurate ones" rockets. Because I have found no proof of real rockets being used in these planes untill 1943 "and only on the i16". Not to say their wernt, but if you need pictures to show the actuall usage of the bombloads on the fw190, I say we need some of a less likely armament on a early war plane.

Ok, gryphon buddy, try to stay with me on this one-

Golds have few buffs, and few good jabos. We could add real historicle loadouts to the fw190, and save modeling new planes. The pe2 carrys 4x250, and im sure more than 6x50. Just be happy admins dont give golds the he111 cause then we would have a hvy armed hvy firing bomb machine with 8x250kg loadout. 15mm mg's defending the ship, sometimes even a mgff.......

Ohh boy, reading a book at the moment got me on this subject! I was writing a post about it and googling for some proof of 8x50 loads, I have picture in book only, I came across this old thread!

    I have a 3 pics of 4x50 under fuse 2 under each wing (190A-1 werk-Nr098), what looks like A-8 & a G-8) - could try to scan them.

    My post below

    The FW 190A-5
The FW 190A-5 had appeared late in ?42 and was, in effect, an A4 with a new engine installation that had been developed on the A-3/U1; this increased the overall length by 15.25cm and compensated for the growing weight of equipment in the fuselage, which had been having an adverse effect on the handling characteristics. Production of the A-5 by the four assembly centres totalled 723, and a large number of conversions were designated, especially in connection with new armament installations. The FW 190A-5/U1, U3, U4 and U8 were respectively the same as the similarly designated A-4 versions; the U3 Schlachtflugzeug had provision to carry four 50-kg (110 lbs) SC 50 bombs on the fuselage rack by means of an ER 4 adaptor.

    ISBN 0 7153 7084 7

The excerpt above, I feel, indicates the timescale of a shift to having 4x50 on the fuselage as a standard option in the field.

Any chance the A-3 could have 4x50 as load?
Any chance of adding 8x50 to A-4?
