    We'll need all the names and especially numbers of visitors to host them in Moscow to avoid hotel payments.

    I think that Finns who are going to come will be met and hosted in St.Peterburg.

    1000km isn't a big distance in Russia. You depart from Moscow at 23:00 and arrive to Samara at 17:00 (16:00 Moscow time) next day. Just enough time to drink on a train, go to sleep, and cure the hangover (if any) next day before you get off the train ;)

    If we'll have enough people I'll try to buy a whole railway car (36 places in a compartment car) or more for an "organized group" in advance. Poor conductors ;)

    I MIGHT come as well.... I was planning to go on a "Europe by Rail" tour this year (together with my GF). In that case, I'd meet with the german group somewhere (berlin? Poland?) and travel together with them.....

    Thats a absolutely amazing Idea Boroda. :@prayer:
    And a big Projekt too.
    I already met some internet friends at USA :mafia: and did have a great time.
    I only can tell the guys here: Do it if you can! :znaika:
    I am going to put this Idea in my head. It would be a big deal going to Moskau/Samara. We ll see. :rtfm:

    Dont spend much thoughts at Terrorists! They are not looking for a bunch of crazy guys, walking around mad with a stick in the hand :D :D :D .

    I once had a MICRO JG13 meeting :p
    Odi couldn't show up, but Promet did :)

    Sebbo, if your meeting would be in April or something we MIGHT be able to come unlikely though. (we being Apocalypse and me) ...

    We'll see :p mb I'll come by train instead of by car, maybe I won't be able to come either way... dunno, I'd like to go though :)

    About going to Russia, oh well, my parents are going on vacation alone this year, so I might try to ask 'em "what if I go to Russia for my own vacations?" they'd laugh it away at first, but if I'd arrange to go with a friend... I might be able to convince em if I ensure them of some sort of a "FH friends escort" is willing to guide us around and tell us what not to do in order to survive ;) chance is minimal though

    true, cloudy. i did micro brazil meeting. me, CG, desert, skiter, reig. i only knew 2 before the meeting. but anyways it was awsome! FHers are always kewl! (in arena i cant guarantee, but in RL people soften a bit :D)

    its so fun... drinking beer, talking about WWII, ACM, flying.... and that was with only group of 5. imagine in group of 30, of all world! people youve been flying with for the past few years! WOW!

    GO!

    PS: i wanna see pics!

    PPS: dont forget to draw me and put my portrait next to the capfire with the rest of FH!!!! :super:

    Maybe a little OT but I was just wondering... When meeting with all these new people, do you call them with their real first name, or with their call-sign?!?

    I would think real first name but offcourse this could be kinda tricky especially with the huge international diversity concerning names.

    i like both :)

    their callsigns will be easier to identify, memorize and associate with the guys i know thru arena. real names are cool and respectful.

    so i stay both :)

    personally, i like being called nicae by other FHers in RL :p but maybe thats because my name is really common in brazil, and being called by it, by brazilians, makes it seem not-so-cool. while being called nicae gives it a unique feel..
    but i must add that being called by my name, by people whose language doesnt have that name is very cool too!
    hmm.. im starting to conclude its cool to have unique name :p

    I spoke with my GF and she thinks it's a cool idea to come to Samara this summer. So, it appears that BasMan is coming gto Russia!.

    BTW, isn't Samara also a city in Iraq? And wasn't there a HUGE bio-war plant there as well? :)

    To Zembla:

    AFVS will have a mini-meeting in Rotterdam later this month. The 30th of januari Malino, Glas and Achtung will be coming over. They leave on the third of februari, I believe...
    If you would like to, you can come to Rotterdam and get plastered! It's 1 hour and 10 minutes by train, and there's a train leaving from Antwerp to Rotterdam each hour!

    Sounds very appealing, was talking about it with apoc in the local pub last saturday... we were both interested in going to Russia too... even though that would require a bit more convincing ;)

    My dad's been in Russia, I'm not sure if he'll be so happy about me going to there... but then again, he's seen a certain aspect of Russia and he's a very sceptical man

    1. Helsinki -> St.Petersburg bus ~ $50-60

    2. St.Petersburg -> Moscow train ~800 - 1000rbl ~ $30-35

    3. As Boroda stated above, train Moscow > Samara and back - ~$60

    Call your local travel operator to clarify details about p.1 and visa.
