    a quote from http://www.revi.cz/revi21/buvol.htm

    my translation:

on 2nd july Russians managed to destroy a record number of three Brewsters in one day. Some Pe-2 and Il2 approached Immola setting a fire on a hangar, in which bw-375, bw-383 and bw-393 burnt down.
    :rose:

at least noone killed in this plane :)

wtg illo, link added to my favourites :)

    p.s.

errata: the above happened in 1944 :)

    wtg datel!

    can i make a tiny request? :)
i saw a picture with the front of the engine, and noticed two tiny air intakes. maybe you could add them? they should use only very few polygons.

i post a pic of the idea below.

    wtg for great work!!

quite detailed history of buffalo in finnish air forces. lotta unique planes mentioned. best material ive seen in czech.

guess its the best i can get from autocad (i.e. no suitable dark green instead of black, if needed). btw i wont change them until i see the plane in game. the lighting involves too much. :(

    another quote from http://www.revi.cz/revi21/buvol.htm

    translation:
First six b-239 (code numbers 352, 353, 355-358) reached Finland 1st and 8th March 1940, too late to engage combat in Talvisota (Winter War), which ended 13th March 1940 signing by the armistice. Full number, 44 planes, got to its destination by the half of 1940, 33 were moved (after a short time at Lentolaivue 22) to Lentolaivue 24 and the rest was left as a reserve.

i guess a gold one, but i leave it to historians :)

    [OFFTOPIC]

    @illo

the legend to the pics (respectively) from http://www.revi.cz/revi21/buvol.htm .you may it find useful.

The aircraft BW-371 was equiped with soviet engine M63 and as a armament in the beggining of 1943, only to machineguns in the cowlings were left. Its obvious that even the machinegun coverings at wings were removed. This idylical shot of the craft was taken in June 1943 at 1/LeLv 24 in Suulajarvi. <the rest is a part of a song>

The Hirvas base, snd half of June 1942 and the most succesful finnish fighter in cockpit of his BW-364 with famous "orange 4" on the rudder <we all know this one dont we>. Eino Ilmari Juutilainen reached the total of 94 1/6 aerial victories, 28 of them on this plane. There appears original green painting under the new yellow one on the engine ?(cowlings|cowering|hood)?

An exemplary shot of the craft BW-374 from 5o'clock, that is meantioned in the text <:))>. During the time of more than one year it was a personal craft of Eero Juhani Riihikalli (16 and 1/2 vic.). 2/HLeLv 24th May 1944, Suulajarvi base

should probably belong to History section, sry Archer :shuffle:

    Few more notes

    1. Which one of national markings looks better? Both are correct AFAIK. Btw. I think i made ones in example tad too big.
Maybe size should be somewhere in between those two.

    2. Does lynx require too many polygons to be on both sides? (if it does...i think it would be ok to remove it)

    Re: Woohaa!

    Hi, jacobe.

How many finnish made planes you think finland had? ;)

If aircraft was manufactured in USA, italy, france, USSR...and so on, but it fought against USSR in finnish AF, shouldn't it be axis plane?

    Actually correct would be

    axis (June 1941-Aug 1944)
    allied (Sept. 1944- 1945)

But for reds to fly f2a-1 it would need USN camo. It wasnt major type in USN (b-239 was definetely major type in FAF), more so very very rare. f2a-3 would be more correct.

I think If you want it (about same 3d model) for reds you should ask for f2a-3 with USN, British or ducth camo(IIRC).

The land where these babies were built won't matter imo...
It was just an thought .... :shuffle: ..but still all planes yet on axis side in FH are built in Germany , Japan and Italy.None for gods sake in America ;) It's kind of tricky thing (for me at least) to understand Finlands desicions and true aims of their(our ) strategy at those hard times between 2 major powers...

btw,England declared war against Finland ..was it -42 (?) ..and no truce yet has been officially done..guess that makes Finland an axis side land cause we're still at war with British Empire LOL

    some new changes

the national symbol is only slightly larger. i didnt want to run in the aileron and 2nd it was very easy to scale it this way because whole swastika is in one plane (you can see the breaking line). is it ok?

i cant remember how olive green looks like, i dont like olives at all! :D.

pilot added (the size sould be right); it really gives the feeling of how big the plane was :)

and one look w/o rear fuselage

glass polygons should have inverted normals (i.e. inside)
apply all updates to dewoitine also.
soon i'll compare drawings with your model for some critics (if need be) :)

Use green that looks best in your opinion. There were many many different shades.
