    Hi Illo :)

cc that, I thought about doing something similar to Cicero's typhoon back view, but with more visibility, of course. But not a great one, since in WB you can't turn your head around, like a real pilot would do. Something like Zeke's mixed with typhoon's? :D

    hi rafael
like i153/i16 cockpits. you can see low six from 4:30 and 7:30 views. thats due to thin head rest armor (30 cm wide), high seat of pilot and low fuselage.

thats all what i understood from illos explanations :)

Yes I agree too. I feel I-16 and I-153 rear views are plain cheat. :)

I wish b-239 is handled like rest of planes. (despite that would cause neck injury IRL with worse view)

    hi again :)

    on cockpit:

this is a quote from illos link to interview w/ Ilmari Juutilainen:
ill post the promised 3d projections in Brewster Cockpit thread in a minute (or two).

btw what else i did today ;) :
-the 200poly LOD is at some 500 polygons now, hope that it is enough. id have to make an ugly squary crate from our brewster. :nono:

-i cut the pilot from 120 back to some 60 triangles. (he looks still 1000% better than the original one(60 too). WTG -datel! :p ) pics later. :D

    thatd be all

    heya -datel

    HI guys :)

Yes, by the 3D pics datel sent to me (thank you! :)) to have an idea on how it was, it is something like zeke's rear view mixed with a smaller typhoon head-rest.. I think that will be the way.. what do you think? If you have another solution for a headrest feel free to tell. :)

    @exec:
i sent a mail to pgmonster few days ago w/ no answer so far. there seemed to be some connection between you and him since your requirement update came very short time after that. im about to dispatch the "complete" 500LOD and 200LOD models right now. (cockpit bars, antena wire and part of u/c are not in the model because i dont know how to add renderable lines in it) . ill send them to pgmonster, in case hes however not able to recieve them please let me know. id be very grateful for a sufficiently quick reply if theres something wrong since i leave on holiday (14days) on saturday and would like to have both models (d520, b239) complete at that time.
    thx in advance :@prayer:

p.s. yeah, and richi doesnt seem responsive as well (the gears-down-cockpit-open thing). any other way to contact him :dunno: ?. pls. pls.

ok i tested my video card.

    2d:
*alt-V, f4f, looking up into sky, max zoom: 120-133 fps
*alt-V, b17, otr, max zoom, looking at field: 45 fps
*alt-V, b17, otr, max zoom out, looking at field: 58 fps
*alt-V, grass field on fire below, 4 spits on six, nearby mountains: 53 fps

    3d:
*alt-V, f4f, looking up into sky, max zoom, no clouds/horizon: 45 fps
*same, but with clouds/horizon: 21 fps
*alt-V, b17, otr, max zoom, looking at field: 14 fps
*alt-V, f4f, max zoom, shooting, smoke on, city in background, coulds/horizon, smoke puffs (beta feature :)): 14 fps
    *twr, clouds/horizon: 12 fps
*twr, in plane select, b17 selected, clous/horizon: 5-7 fps

there seems to be a problem with my card on transparancies (see pic below):
    1. sun shows dots. and with time they start becoming more numerous, and more colorful too. ;-)
    2. transparancy problem with b25H's nose gunfire.
    3. transparancy problem with smoke puffs.
    4. close up gunfire problem.
    5. cockpit shows some glitches, like this cutted-line.

    my 3d card is a 4MB SiS 6326 AGP.

    hi nicae,
thx a lot for your framerates. your card does a great job :D .
btw im flying 2d too. i can identify destroyed ground targets better and i have no problems w/ landing :D (i ditched few times just bcoz i didnt see an end of the field due to low sun).

hehe, i get max 99.9FPS out of my 1200 athlon 64MB nVidia GForce2. there seems to be some limit. (i think that 80+FPS is wasting computing power since a vertical frequency of my monitor is 80Hz).

the reason why asked was what would happen if the number of polygons in models were doubled or so...

    thx once again

Datel everything over 40fps is definetely impossible to see.

Most people say human eye can only take 25pictures in second. If its more it looks same. I

Ok, I got confirmation from expert on these things. :)

He says BW-393 was white 7. Pilots who were flying this plane were Eino Luukkainen and Hans Wind. Victory marks on rudder were Karjala(karelia) beer bottle labels. Later with transfer to another squad BW-393 changed colors and became orange 9.

Facts on this plane in white 7 camo.
    Olive/black camo. (correct)
    Black spinner (correct)

I will ask if lynx insignia is correct for white 7...if not, we get rid of some polygons.

Here sample of FAF yellow. (to fix eastfront marking color)
    http://www.doupe.cz/vaulty/sturmovik/barvy_finsk.html

Other colors seem just right. You can also test FAF light blue for rudder. (current rudder color seems more like what ive seen on profiles tho) Use your own judgement do decide or post pics.
