Jeep kill from D21 tonight. Took a bullet right in the head. This jeep crap is just hurting the game. Remove jeeps please. :(

Apparently some people are using some kind of cheat to cause these PK's. I've been a victim of that on several occasions. I've tried myself to get hits on flying aircraft from a jeep and found it to be quite difficult. I have been able to get hits on aircraft from D13 but not from D21. I have been hit and PK'd from a pretty good distance but, never really check distance before getting hit because I expect the range to be limited.

So, what is the hit range for jeep guns exec?

That would take a lot of spraying. I'm wondering of the D22 you saw is different than what is seen from the jeepack. Is this something you saw during the film feedback or in relation to your altitude? Should perform a test for that theory. Travel out till D5 and see if it is D5 to the jeep from inside the plane, and D5 to the plane from inside the jeep. I know that the distance is different when outside your aircraft. In Alt V mode, the distance is greater than when inside the aircraft.

Increase ack range if you must, but jeep range is excessive IMO. =\
As far as I know, the term "effective range" does not necessarily mean that it could routinely score hits from such distances - especially not mounted on a jeep, which isn't necessarily the most stable weapons platform for such a heavy gun.

currently we are thinking about replaceable jeep weapon.
probably we could manage it be static with 25mm-navy96 and 40mm-bofors, while mobile with quad13mm.

if we fail, we can limit navy96 to about d15.

you sure jeep kills at d20 TOO MUCH ROUTINELY?

When I've used jeep acks, I found that the further out the enemy is, the easier they are to hit. :dunno:

Well, it's a subjective opinion of course. I do not have any empirical data to support this claim. But it happens a bit too frequently, if you ask me.

When field closes, hmacks should die. I dunno if that would screw the game up, just a suggestion.

    Hey Exec!

I got few suggestions for you... I hope you at least read them and comment them and answer them.

Publish all data of all planes.

Each planes weight, damage model & areas & endurance to stand bullets.

Also we all should know all planes weapons power.

When a plane leaks oil or fuel, we all shold know how fast each plane does that.

We should also know how fast each plane consume fuel.

I bet you don't answer to these questions I prposed you to answer for us all playing this once great playable game cause I know how you think, and how you understand yourself and how you care for this game and it's playablility should be in you opinion.

Also Why won't freehost admins share the server software for all?

Imho no-one can claim to own something that has been given by someone else and what has been given is used to take something without asking from someone elses.

Is it fun to hide all the data that has done 'developing' this game to more and more unplayable and unpleaseble game more and more.

When FH was in ver 1.42, this game was great! F.ex. dogfighting and strategic flying was in another dimension it is now.

I wonder WTF is wrong in people who has got a gift called human life, and during that they just twist and hide and enjoy FKing things up for their own sick selfless pleasure which finally leads them to misery and pain, which just IS a way this lil' life we live goes.

Just Keep the good going up FH!!! %) :dura:

I think I can answer part of your question there Jac.

Imagine if everyone had ALL the software, source code etc.

What do you suppose would happen with all the hackers?

Can you imagine what it would take to monitor everyone's private version?

Can you imagine the potential for cheating????

BTW: as for terms of oil and fuel losses. Checking your gauges would help.

I really cannot recall how good the gauges are here at FH. I always seem to look went it's too late :D

I do remember back when the earth was young and I played SWOTL.

The gauges were great. Returning from missions and running away from enemies I noticed the temps rising in the engines and I had to lower the throttles and nose the plane down to keep speed and temps down.

You could see how fast the fuel was leaking and you could switch to aux/drop or main tanks.

There are many trade-offs in any online game.

BTW: If jeep acks are just one or four 50cal, should they be the same as any other 50cal?

    Same if they are 37mm or 20mm . ?

    :dunno:

Thnx for good reply loose, imo you're right about possibility of cheating could rise...all thought all planes data contain file's 'hash' is checked when logging in , so it needs a supa puter shtbrain wizard to hack planes...dunno if it's the same thing in cockpits since there we're some 0 pixel invisible cockpits some guys used for their personal satanistic pleasure. :)

But main thing was that i WISH that supa Exec could give us the detailed INFO about planes data I asked!!!!

    but I bet he WON'T.

Info that is configured for the current aircraft or actual documented data?
