MIDWAY - official event thread

why to write complex rules "one cannot climb before engagement if <..>, or else <>, except cases <...>" which are hard to remember and almost impossible to supervise?

probably organisers could write it plain way: "the side detected with top-mast bombing will be penalised". or something like that. "dive bombing must start no lower than 1000m=3000ft". if something wanted to be stated, it must be stated clearly.

this event description did NOT say anything about low-alt bombing, only bla-bla about fighter engagement rules that are non-historical by it's nature.

imagine 'don't climb unless' for real pilot during battle. huh?

Here in Brazil, 18/05 is Mothers Day (thanks -xiru- to recall)... so I believe that we can find another date for event, due most of ppl may have especial duties at this weekend... Any suggestion?

 

if franz waits for stafing/bombing calculations, i would say that i'm sorry, because the solution was delayed by several questions like loads of fw190/bf109/usjabo, that influence balancing of durability/harm.

i was tested Midway map yesterday in offline. All CV's have only 3 (three) escort ships - two DD and one CA.
So CV's will be more easy target to destroy beside on MA.

 

cv is hard to sink because you must find it first
let's make easier scenario to overachieve goals rather than bombing without observable effect

or you're already worring about emperor's ship 'ARES'?

complete order x 4 (for japans) will be a very, very hard target in FH reality.

variant 1: cv must be sunk after escort that will require direct 16*1000lbs. we will bomb it during 5 hours of 3 given
variant 2: cv can be sunk with direct 6*1000lbs that could be achieved twice or thrice in scenario.
what variant is more inspiring?

This bmber wingmans are interesting, can I kill lead plane if wingmans still live? it is necessary to much amno to kill wingman like for kill leading plane?

-+->At present Time, AFAIK you only can get bomb leader down if you erase wingmen first, as CVs fleets at FH MA... anyway based in my observations, wingmen requires considerable less impacts to get down than the leader plane (I think)
