Against popular ugly landing, maybe it wcould be good idea to count landing with engine(s) out as ditch. What do you think about. 1/2 score is good perspective to land proper, isnt it?
i'm always landing on wheels and i would like to see everybody doing this. but: -if your gear is damaged u must land on your belly -if there are strafers or enemy commandos at the field is safer to land on your belly
If you're in a hurry because you're damaged, it's good to land on your belly. If you must leave the game fast, it's good to land on the belly
as long as it doesn't cut my points and doesn't hurt anybody I'm belly landing mostly saves time, and can save my ass from fuckers hunting landing planes
landing wheels up should be considered a ditch - it IS a ditch, no matter where you put your plane down
its good idea imo i said that couple times myself but i wouldnt go just for ditching i think it would be good idea to change whole score formula, where every damage means adequate penalty after all, technical aircraft condition was very important
imo this would improve the quality of the fights. i agree with it also losing points (and i'm not reffering to getting less points) when getting killed or captured would work imo
I just vulched Pietas while he was ditchin. Last night. I felt this bad. Actually, I just wanted to kill something, anything.
And this proposal came from nobody else but "da pietas da vulcher". What you are not to hapy loosnig points by having cons landing dmgd...? "NO DEFINITELY I'M AGAINST THIS IDEA"
and I have always heard that any landing you can walk away from is a good landing. I'm against it too, firstly because it is true pietas you do make your scoring vulching and a longer landing gives you much more ample time to plug the guy and yes sometimes a quick landing is important when something in real life needs attention quickly. and besides sometimes all I have is time for a quick 5 minute sorties before going to work etc.
So?? At the end of the day your maintenance crew will be much happier about an intact plane than about one that has most of its underside missing. Therefore ... LESS points!
Good idea, and I am surprised to agree with pietas once again. Landing is landing, ditching is ditching. Ditching on field with wheels up is still ditching and should be counted as such. Are you forced to leave earlier than you thought? Have you planned your sortie unapropriately and are forced to land on an attacked field... take the risk and try to save your points or make it safe, but for the cost of half the score. A belly-landed plane is not a plane to be flown again quickly... hence a plane lost for your team, counting belly-landings as landings is unfair and historically incorrect.
Considering you can agree with Roland "the fucker" Garros just to disagree with me, i can expect anything from you
both arguments are a reason, to reduce the score. so i like this proposal, but i don't know, who can programm this.
i remember the discussion of ditching at the own country. since that time, we have many ditchkillers. if the attacker get a kill (and the ditching pilot do not get a "killed"), we would have a friendlier situation.
