I remember being damaged by my squaddie, then getting 1x40mm in my face, and the squaddie got the kill - silly, eh?

 

quick radar killing mission

go below radar to the target
take the smallest possible alt, drop a >50kg bomb (to increase max down time)
without danger of diein from own bomb, it would be stupidity to climb to 200m to drop bombs - its much safer to pass field with full ack defense at 10m alt than at 200m alt
such mission would be a joke and too easy to accomplish

u could kill heavy acks this way too, they are very uneffective at -->0m alt

 

0m alt "above" ground would actually be underground

Noticed that with increased bomb lethality this doesn't work so well anymore... even 50kgs can be deadly when dropped very low in such manner. The second obstacle is the radar tower itself... one must fly above it, which with current ack accuracy almost certainly leaves the one with some 12mms in arse.

i have recorded a track but dunno why there is no ackfire on it
ive recorded 2 more tracks, but all were buggy, u can check it urself :>
it was enemy field - as u can see at the end of the track i died from ackfire when i made a pass over 20mm
edit: if there are any doubts about this i can repeat anytime
anyway, heres a track of ~80m level drop 50kg on dar at small field with full ack defense
the settings at test arena were identical to the main arena
later i made a pass over 40mm without a scratch at alt close to 0m (and i could have taken it down without any problems if i were immune to own bombs)


so anyway, it would be very bad idea to disable damage from own bombs

 

I'm sorry, that I can't follow all Forum-Posts. For now I added two Wishes to the Developers:
1. Ditch should be positive for the attacker.
2. Landing without Gears should remove the Score.

Uncontrolled landings are penalized. I do them all the time.

 

Do you mean as in completely cancel any points earned in the mission altogether? If so, I think that's a bit harsh. Just say a 50% cut would be sufficient IMO.
