He means that you wrote "seen" insead of "heard", as you can only "see" music in the form of (duuuh) "waveform" ;)

    I love that guy :)

Well, my friend, you are very much over-simplifying things, and making broad, negative generalizations (normally referred to as stereotyping), but I know you can't help it, hehe :)

I must be getting old. Everyone else is more pessimistic than I am.

Anyway, it's a music thread, so check this out. Please don't post any more Klaus Nomi clips :shuffle: muhaha

(Actually I think this is a different gig, but seen him several times similarly close. This is what we refer to as full, non-deniable disclosure :) )

When that song was a hit I never bothered with lyrics unless I could HEAR them. If I could not HEAR them, I disregarded them and never thought it worth the effort to go Check Out The Lyrics.
I HATED that song. They played it ten times a day on the FM radio way back In The Day.
I hated it. Not becuase it was a BAD song but becuase of the lack of choices I had and the Top 100 business driven model so I got to hear what everyone else was hearing at the workplace or the streats.

If I had known what the band members were singing, I would have enjoyed the song, knowing they were singing about something NO ONE EVER TALKED ABOU ON THE STREET OR AT WORK.

There is a lot of music, poetry and other art that says things that no one listens too becuse the message was very effectively is obscured by WEA shitting recording engineers.
I didn't FINALLY LISTEN to the lyrics until just a year ago, funny, I was hearing the song while driving, [my motor always starts, eh?]
, LOUD, remastered, stearing one-handed 'My Sharona'[/I] and I could HEAR THE WORDS.............

Ha ha ha.... Uncles, not to worry, one Klaus Nomi music video is all anyone needs in one life-time. Sort of like a vaccine shot, seeing the movie Eraserhead by David Lynch or Fata Morgana by Werner Herzog.:D

Yes, of course gross generalizations, this is FH Forum and not a college peer review!
Sweet Home Alabama is a great song and the words representative of the present state of mind of the times.
However I liked the response song and lyrics from Neil Young's "Southern Man" because of the same reasons.

On with the music and good songs :super:

I'm not aware of too many things
I know what I know, if you know what I mean
Philosophy is the talk on a cereal box
Religion is the smile on a dog
I'm not aware of too many things
I know what I know, if you know what I mean, d-doo yeah

Choke me in the shallow waters
    Before I get too deep

What I am is what I am
Are you what you are or what?
What I am is what I am
Are you what you are or

Oh, I'm not aware of too many things
I know what I know, if you know what I mean
Philosophy is a walk on the slippery rocks
Religion is a light in the fog
I'm not aware of too many things

    Post? Re-Post?

Here's some Don't Tread On Me anyway

    don't tread on Me.
    said Don't tread on Me.

Liberty or death, what we so proudly hail
once you provoke her, rattling of her tail
never begins it, never, but once engaged...
never surrenders, showing the fangs of rage
    said don't tread on me

    so be it
    threaten no more
to secure peace is to prepare for war
    so be it
    settle the score
touch me again for the words that you'll hear evermore...

    don't tread on me

love it or leave it, she with the deadly bite
quick is the blue tongue, forked as a lightning strike
shining with brightness, always on surveillance
the eyes they never close, emblem of vigilance
    ooh, No, No, No.

    said don't tread on me

    so be it
    threaten no more
to secure peace is to prepare for war
    so be it
    settle the score
touch me again for the words that you'll hear evermore...

    don't tread on me

    Not sure about him.

Indications are that he is or knows a cadet (maybe Lieutenant) doing Air Force ROTC, perhaps in Oklahoma, in which case it wouldn't be too difficult to find him based upon an Oct 7 birthday.
