    fuel

    honestly i dont get it
    fuel burns out 2-2.5 times faster now

    is it because we have map that fields are so close too each other?
    is it because some ppl dont like to roll under enemies vulching their field?
    is it because some ppl like to fly high and its not like its supposed to be?

    109 has fuel for 20min of flight
    190... not sure if half an hour;

    whats goin on, gentlemen?
    it is impossible to fly in 109 with 4x50 for a raid, because if u drop all eggz u have to rtb or die;
    at least one word of announcment would be nice.. i wasted couple of flights because of this.. and im sure im not the only one;

    is it gonna be for good?

    Even Japs planes have horrible effeciency compaired to what it once was. Now i spend just as much time considering loadouts as I do flying.

    Re: fuel

    Today rgreat came into Arena and announced that fuel multiplier was set to 0.5 in server setting... a bit controversial decission when playin' on such a big map like Medrl :-/

    What was fuel multiplier before? Did it depend on map?

    Re: fuel

    The new fuel setting is awful.

    This is one decision which isn't even a compromise between playability and realism. This new fuel multiplier has a negative impact on both! It is awful both in terms of historical realism as well as in terms of making the game, unnecessarily, a monstrosity. It removes both fun and realism.

    Please set it back...

    Regards,
    Jochen

    Re: fuel

    I like it, i like almost any changes that make things a bit more of a challenge & killing fuels is now of a real tactical advantage - before almost all planes could go from 1 field to another & RTB on even 30 - 40%....is fuel quality factored into performances?

    Re: fuel

    Yeah, it has really bad effect on the game, please change it back. As a bomber pilot, I have to say we are pretty affected by that change. All the data we have gathered is rendered useless in the blink of an eye. And I will not speak about fighter escorts.

    :rolleyes:

    I know everyone has noticed, and most everyone complains on the new fuel consumption rates. But instead of being scattered in our plea for the old rates to come back, I ask that everyone and anyone, pls just make a quick short statement on how you would like the old fuel modeling. Pls 1 post per person so the WB staff can quickly see how many do not enjoy these changes.

    FH modelers pls :help:

    I would like something inbetween old and new rates (when old was 1.0, new is 0.5 i want a 0.75-0.8 solution). If that's impossible- pls return the old values.

    Its nice idea but only after all planes consumption and climb rates will be fixed.

    Man i never ran outa fuel so fast EVER. Lose fuel faster than if leaking.I had to ditch many times short of field from no fuel. Even taking way more than i ussually took left me short.

    The single most awful decision I remember in WBFH.

    Set it back to 1.0, please.

    Well imo this is better. Anyone knows any p51 pilots that toked 50% fuel to escort b17`s over berlin? hell no , they had even drop tanks. This should encourage pilots to take 70-90% fuel instead of 40-50%.
