Yo, I do Hearts Of Iron II as well. Well, I used to ... kinda stopped playing it a few weeks ago for no good reason. Might get back to it ... when ever I feel like it.
Europa Universalis II is also good.

    to both u and zembla.

if u liked the xwing or freelancer try the old 'wing commander' serries.

its pritty cool becuase it story driven. but u can make some choices; say stop some drunk gye from hitting a bumb to find out hes a old war ace, and later get him as wing man or ingnore him and dont. every cut sceane is live movie, (even walking from room to room) with mark hamel "luke sky walker" playing your pilot.

not only do story branches change on descions u made but mission branch on how well u do. only dieing and or being captured after cockpit bail will end game.

failing only leads u to a mission were ure despritely retreating, and trying to recover your fleet from the enemy. While winning will lead u to a mission harring the enemys retreat from the system. if u win all the time you get to the climatic finish where u( depnded on wich game ither destroy there fleet and win war, or anilate there home wolrd and force them into extintion) if u play bad enogh, humans become live stock, and or lose planet earth to invasion and extincion. its great game. suports flight stick, and more sim, less arcade the freelancer.

the branching storie lines and mission means itll never be the same twice unless u pick same chocies every time and ace every mission>
any one intrested in space fighter sims. should take a look. its comparible to xwing in mission strucure and fighter upgrades and seletion, but rock the best story driven mission branching ive seen. the actors even do a good job and give the game a nice touch. like watching starwars but fling the x-wing parts.

I finally got my copy. Ive played for a couple days now and am hooked. My pride and joy is a 1969 Camaro z28. 427 big block, 4 speed tranny, 4.11 rear gears (acceleration!) and a peak horsepower number of almost 800hp. No turbo, no supercharger. I get to 150mph before you can say dynomite. The game is awesome. You can modle in damage to the cars, fuel in your tank, wear on your tires. The hp ratings seem acurate with all cars. It takes a fine touch on all controls to drive "the break and throttle are sensitive to the pressure you apply- so you cant just slam down on the gass in a high HP car or all you will get is wheel spin into 3rd gear "or atlest in my camaro and Corvette stingray roadster "also a 427 car".

In all- I say its way better than GT4 minus I would like better sound tracks. But I downloaded my own so now Im good to go.

I've played WC3... didn't play the IV I think. Just too bad they're getting old. Playing an old game is one thing, but flying through space and shooting pixels is another ;)

I remember when many of those games came out, they said: Great graphics! Come and enjoy a new experience on realism in your screen!
Lol, now they seem so primitive... :)
