If the fas' method is right, then we will have to search all data we can to help him with other planes, because he updated LAs and Beaufighter. There are many others that must be corrected. As -exec- stated, I know the Tabahost DM and I can say that it's pretty good, we are working now to improve the DM and make it more balanced than it is. And I do agree too with the gameplay. Red Ant idea for CVs is great, if we could implement it, will be more than a challenge for everyone who starts a CV hunt, it will be fun again to hunt the CVs. Also, the "laser-acks" could be a bit tuned down, there were many other facts that could act on the man working the ack. There is many time, many many time, since I saw a Carpet Bomb raid... Dunno with you all know the TH model of closing fields, but I'll put a brief here: > Every field has a TTC (Tonnage To Close). Large fields have higher numbers, as medium and shorts. > And also there is a number called ToT (Tonnage on Target), that is the tonnage the player hit with his bombs. (i.e. > 4x500kg + 2 robowingmen w/ 4x500 too can put a end ToT of 8,000kg, if all bombs hit the target.) > If you reach the TTC, you close the field. > But I have to remember that the Blast Effects are a bit more real than here, the bombs do real damage, great blast radius. > And if you leave the hangars up, you can use the planes that were there before the cap of field. (i.e> > if you close a red field, if there were Spits 9c, P-38J and etc... the gold player can use them to fight in the air). > And if the field is closing, the player of that field can close their own hangars, to avoid enemy cap of planes. Also commandos are FULL more effective, they really hit the target. We can drop 4 commandos in a sortie (2 in a row, then, 2 more), even with less than 10 players online. Robowingmens are great addiction to buff pilots, to reach the TTC of fields. I personally think that it's a way more challenging of play. Because you have to deffend your field with "blood and tears", until the last effort. It could bring also more fun to the game, since the golds could use red planes with no need to change sides. I personally feel much obliged and satisfied and happy when playing on TH, with 10-12 players online it's a real party!
And yet you still hang on the part that wasn't even pointed to you. Let me explain. Since I'm on demis shitlist for some reason, don't even know why he started on me, I was merely making a point to his "You can bring with u airfax, he also did nothing for us, so why would we tolerate him? Admins are here to take care of slots, server, damage model, new planes. We dont need some wise ass who is not admin, not moderator, not player, and especially is not player who helped with game we like. Sure, u can use forum, but pls use it by making own threads, not stealing concerning game ones. Many players left fh long time ago, many left it in last year. So, why do u think anyone here wants to listen those players , who dont even have enough patience to be regular?" Sure, I'm not the one that's asking new planes. Not even the one asking fixing the old ones. NiKis went shit while I was more active, no prob, I didn't use them anymore. I was always satisfied, because the game was/is free, and "they" let me play on their server. In my active days I flied mostly japs or buffs. Most of the time, however, I was the cannonfodder. And that's what you don't have anymore. Nobody likes losing all the time. Pls try to play FH with 36-56K modem cross atlantic. And pay for that pleasure. Like 15$ a month. Why didn't I play Ien's wb.....pffff You may have played the "pre-historic" wb. May. I may have been the guy that suggested that someone should make a game with plane and stuff. Internet, serious thing. @exec: pls don't over try. History is less valuable than more players in the arena.
Well your dream is not that far from reality! In Aces High at least one time there was a player controlled CV task force. Also there are player controlled ship board acks and artillery that are available on a first come first served basis either on the CV or the escorts. Acks can be .50 cal or 20mm batteries. When battle ships are near an opposing field you can bombard the field with the battleship cannons. And when two carrier groups get too close to each other, yes there is a great fur-ball of ship to ship and plane to plane engagements. Also there are PT boats, tanks, half-tracks with 37mm ack or twin or quad 50 cals, trucks that can bring troops, supplies to up a damaged field faster or ammo. Aces High have the three element bomber controlled by one player too. Aces High still has that two week free trial going....
In WB3 you can do that as well. It was great fun taking a destroyer away from the fleet to go after the cv of the other side. I also had great fun calling in artillery strikes. Still......whatever needs to be done to 2.77 is limited a bit by the original code and some things we might want are just impossible to implement. That said, a lot of changes are pretty simple. If we cannot disable .attach, why not just have the host report any attaching. I'm pretty sure the original wb2.77 had those messages. I also think the ditching a plane 5 feet from an enemy field and not rewarding a kill to the guy who shot up the plane causing the ditch can easily be implemented since I seem to remember it being that way long ago.
Why would you want that? Are you saying bringing a plane down so it has to ditch away from its own airfield (and near an ENEMY field, if I understand you correctly?) does not warrant a kill? Or is it the exact opposite that you're asking for. Sorry, but I think your post is a bit confusingly worded there.
Sorry.....I remember ditching planes being same as kill. The problem with that is someone ditching from something other than combat damage (running out of fuel maybe) and the maneuver kill being rewarded to somebody who just happened to be nearby that had nothing to do with causing the ditch. It's amazing how many potential situations can arise from simple changes. That said, I landed yesterday (one gear was damage) and stopped with only about a foot of wingtip off the field and I was given a ditch even though 99% of the plane was actually on the runway.
huehuehuehuehuehuehuehuehue all that "land with gear" shit-talk, and yet you still can't do it properly poor thing
Al Even if you have both gear down on the runway and a portion of the plane hangs off the end, you are given a ditch. Try it some time.
Come on exec Let's at least try and see what happens I think this way could be more challenging and could bring some new fresh ppl!!
Are you so stuck up that you can't even tell when I'm mocking you? You're the super ace, who lands with gear down all the time, I'd think you should be able to park your plane on the runway even if it had only one wing, let alone just one tiny wheel missing. Not to mention that you wrote that the wingtip was outside the field, and not outside the actual runway, in the middle of the field. Now that means you made a terrible approach, cause even without one wheel you should be able to stop well before the end of the runway if you only had touched down at the beginning of the runway and not in the middle of it. Again I find myself explaining the obvious to you, and I can bet you'll come back and turn it all around again.
I'm with exec on this one. Tabahost has a lot of really cool features that I'd love to see in FH, but trophy planes is not one of them.
From your tone, it is obvously you were not mocking but actually angry. They have therapy for your condition. When you only have one wheel.....it is tough to stop and I ended up with a wingtip off the end of the runway (not the sides) and got ditch. I never mentioned "middle of the field", that is something that came out of an incorrect conclusion from you. All of my "off the runway" reference has always been related to the end since you can land gear down anywhere within the field boundaries off the runway and not get ditch. You get ditch right off end of runway because the ends of the runways are also field boundaries. If you are so critical of me, why not come to the arenas and show me how a real internet fighter pilot flies? I'm more than ready to shoot you down even though I spend 90% of my time flying bombers and don't even consider myself a fighter pilot. Bring it in the arena, identify yourself, and let's see if you can earn the privilege to talk smack.
I call BS. Just exited plane with fully half of my F4U wing off the end (F3). It's not the detail that matters, it's your obsessiveness over it. I couldn't care less about your being wrong about that detail, or if you made a minor grammatical error. It's the fact that the sky rains fire when I point it out that's telling.
