Hi Exec, >There's a high probability of implementing Ju.88S-1 as "easy to model" craft, alongside with: P-47D-15, FW.190A-2, Spit-LF9C, MC.202/1, Hurricane-4, Mustang-1, Mosquito-F2. What's the difference of the MC.202/1 to the MC.202 we already have? As far as I know, the Mosquito F.2 was only used as a night fighter. I'm not sure it would make much sense on Freehost - it didn't even carry bombs, if I remember correctly. I'd rather have the B.XVI Regards, Henning (HoHun)
the tempest(still waiting?????????) and the hellcat to be great like it once was. hmm even 4 cannon p-51 would be nice. maybe westland whirlwind or maybe the boomerang (for our aussie pilots) even a french aircraft and more italian aircraft would be nice. but they should be able to be used by both sides because france was captured then liberated, and when italy capitulated both axis and allies used italian aircraft. that would be neat.
HoHun, MC.202'6 is given by date of MC.202'1. Hush! One day Folgore will be split into two version for correct RPS.
IMHO, the priorities should be splittins spitV and IX into more versions, and adding some better Emil for axis. What is general FHs attitude towards extending RPS back to Spanish war?
My suggestion ( ): 1. Start the war from 1939 2. Add -p11c -109e3 (with no cannons, only 4x7,7) -he-111 -bloch 152 -d-520 3. Rest of the planes will be nice too
is there a chance to rearm 2nd corsair t 4x20mm? would be nice I'm also pro switching start tod at 1939, i'd also like to see longers ToDs (8 days per month )
hi beryl, I agree with you: starting the TOD in 1939 and having a TOD with 8 days per month would be fine.
1930s!!! Spanish civil war. Republican (some cool Russian 1930s planes and Dutch (?) and French (?) and Yank planes too). Loyalist (1930s German stuff) Chinese civil war: Reds verses Kuo Min Tang. All those cool little biplane fighters and funny little monoplanes. A whole bunch of em. TnB dreams.
Here is maybe the best link I've found for Spanish civil war aircraft Aircraft that took part in the Spanish Civil War. RPS from that era should include Japanese-Chinese-Soviet-Manchurian conflict planes too.
hi, I'm a fan of the early fights too. Starting in 1939 would be nice! btw RolandGarros, do u have some pics of civil-war-chato? I'd like to print one and put it on the wall. thx
Wow, Garros, I lost that url year/two ago. And probably even entire site transferred into the jungles of my harddisk. Thank you for finding it
Chato, how about this one. The photo is from the "Museo del Aire" (Air Museum) at Cuatro Vientos (Spain).
Other cool link, if someone is working with He111 model could be useful: there are photos taken from the copckit and from bomber view (just pass the mouse over the location you want see photos) : http://www.aire.org/aama/Avionmes.htm
If Avia S.199 were added (probably not too hard from 109 model) as well as later model Spit - not too sure which one(s) but I think it was MK XVI for Egypt - and maybe a bomber version of the C-47, we could have a nice little Israeli independence war plane set. I think Egyptians had Fiat G55 too and Israel had some Spits, B-17 and P-51d and Mossies. Not sure what bombers Egyptians had other than Mosquitoes and I'm not sure that DH98s were used in any role other than recon in the conflict. New map needed too.
How about the Fokker D-XXI and/or Fokker G-4? The D-21 saw extensive use in both Holland and Finland and would seriously improve gameplay. Together with the Buffalo and Japanese planes we'd have the complete package to re-enact both the Finnish-Russian war and the battle for the Dutch East Indies (Indonesia). The Fokker G-4 is more difficult to implement, due to it's distinctive shape and size, and since it has seen only a little action it might not be worth the effort. It would be a fun addition though! Imagine an early war cross between the P-38 and the Bf110... A really fast and manoeuverable JaBo with tailgunner. Oh YEAH baby!
well hawk 75a is needed for indonesia theatre....(it was used during battle of France as well - so 2 points for this bird ) to rolandgarros: - avia s199 - agree no 3D model neede - it is 109G14 with jumo engine from he111 - however your pic is IMO avia cs199 - training version
