Why is United States of America full of bullshit?

I mean why everything that they present in all media seem to be a total lie and a total souless mega-egoist biased illusionistic shit?

Can anyone here with healthy loving common sence and realistic honour of all happenings in our world please explain here why is it so?

    HA HA HA HA HA......

There are so many books trying to explain that.

    One little fact:

When Clinton left office there were about 50 corporations that owned about 90% of the media in the USA.

When GW Bush started his second term 6 corporations owned about 80% of the media.

The more important question is: "When did you notice this?"

This is very good question. Very good.
I believe our problem is the fact that we perceive USA as one country, but we forget size of it. 300 million people is not small country. If you start to think like this , u will never compare USA to lets say France, but with Europe.
Now, just try to think about Europe in the same manner as u think about USA, as one biiiig country, and you will have your answer:)
We all know where is, lets say Sweden, you all heard about Sweden. You know Volvo, Saab, Abba etc. But Sweden has only 9million of people. 9 million of people easier make their own country and easier control it, than lets say 70 million of Turks. What can 1 Turk change in his country?

I have 1 better question for you Jac:)
USA is such bullshit country, i hate its administration, i hate their capitalism, i hate brain washing.
But, how come that i see and know SO MANY GREAT PEOPLE FROM USA on fh:)? How it is possible to have such ugly and bs country, and to be like these NICE people :)))))?

    Eat a dick Demian :)

We do have the worst media in the world.......no doubt. It's some bizzare rumor mongering mill for people who are supposed to be celebrities. Media people consider themselves celebrities............which is because americans consider media people celebrities...........because they're on TV. Same thing goes for politicians.
Every dumbass American last year was like, "Just why oh why are so many celebrities dieing?!"
The answer is simple. We have too many fucking "celebrities." I put celebrities at about 25% of our population. And the 75% who aren't currently celebrities.......they want to be.

News here is 10 reporters camped outside the house of a dead girl, who's celebrity comes from flipping off the judges on American Idol.

Yes, the USA media blows. Why? fuck you, that's why, they can.

Individually though, we're no different. We all just want to be happy............same as you jacobe........I'm sure.

Liian paljon rahaa, liian paljon velkaa ja idea elämiseen joka vaatisi ikuisen talousnousun. Sitä ei ole. Norsu posliinikaupassa, jolla ei ole ketään joka hakisi sen pois...

I like your overall point! I would go further and ask if people know the differences between Tenessee, Arizona, North Carolina and, say, Wisconsin. Which companies come from each? What's the population? I dunno.. At least not as much as I know about Denmark, Lithuania, Finland or -exec-histan!

But I must add I think there is much more to it. Such as corporate mergers. Soon, all companies will be too big to fail, just as the banks were with this crisis. Will CNN be too big to fail?
Just as a side note, Brazil is in a similar position with few media companies. They're a bit more investigative, but the manipulation still happens in some sort, like through soap operas influencing the mass' perception on values and such. Crazy!

Despite all the bullshit and problems in America, yes they are a great people because we/they are free(so far- :D ) and Americans are generous to a fault.
Left, right or indifferent the majority of Americans believe in the Constitution.
Remember what that Japanese general said about "the sleeping giant"?
Well , yes the giant is asleep, either by hangover or drugs, but he is still a giant.

What can one single Turk do?

Nicae, it's interesting. But most in the world do not care to know about differences in the USA. Think about it: is a gaucho different from a carioca? Yes and no :) What about these guys from Florianoplis, or Belem or Manaus? People make generalizations.

I was watching a big parade in Brasil recently and became very emotional, because people are the same all over the world. When I saw little kids selling flags and cheering when there were flyovers, or elite guys marched by, I thought of my own youth. We are all the same :)

not a big fan of the US media either, a lot of hype and drama, but the internet is great

i try to stay up-to-date with a wide spectrum:

    -democracy now
-russia today (check out the tongue-in-cheek here if you like, i also laugh at the periodic putin porn shoots)
-xinhua (the one that published optimistic "live" astronaut telemetry before a chinese space mission)
-google fast flip (selections from NYT, BBC, Washington Post, Reuters and others, a very powerful tool imho)
    -google news

The USA means no more in The Great Scheme Of Things than Persia, Macedonia or Ethiopia, Manchu, Toltec, Crete, Inca.

We didn't have the means to destroy our human-freindly ecosystem. We have the means now. And we have no collective memory of these civilizations other than enigmatic icons scratched in interior walls of the Great Pyraminds...... Which are now Unsealed, with a ticket sellor at the entrance.
They Great Wall didn't keep the barbarians out of Manchuria or whatever else those kindoms were called. The barbarians conquered China and now, China IS THEM.

America. Same. But America's People had little industry and couldn't prevent the Alean Invasion From Space [Christoff, D'Columb et el] and it is now gone, forgotton, we never recorded. Toltecs DID record and we so stupid we are partially-reading their documents and figuring stupid answers from them. Astecs didn't JUST used to tear hearts out of slaves as entertainment, they built roads and levied tax, enforced orderly populations, huger irrigation PUBLIC WORKS and invaded nieghbours etc. Do you remember their heritage? Sure, so do Apaches.... a little [what is taugh in Catholic Schools in 'Indean' reserves [Kraals]. Apaches IS AMERICA. Was......
Now is mostly Mexican citizens and speak Spanish, Not 'Indian' sign [they forgot] and not 'Indian' [they never was.... Indian is in India].
Beotuch? Ever heard of them? Do you rwad about their fall? It wasn't great dramma becuase the Proffessional Paid Media looked somewhere else,
The Goslens are getting a divorce!!!!!!!
[I am still not sure who they are, I keep seeing they pictures on tv and newspapers, but I don't read that stuff. No more the ALLEGEDLY BLOCK LETTERS. (without italics)

    ALLEGEDLY

Goslens could be forgotten and the world wouldn't fall apart.
But what apout the Bushes or the Kennidys?

Remember Chalchiuh Tlatonac ????? Barely or not at all, right?

    Say Hez...

Let me gild the lily just a touch.

An old man told King Solomon something like this: " גם זה יעבור‎ "

Gam zeh yavor.... this too shall pass.

Now I would have talked about the Hopi "indians", how the Navajo came from Korea to North America.

Then a mention about the Mahabharata and the Gilgamesh epic and the Sumer civilization.....

Grounds for further research when we are not playing FHWB of course....

See what kind of trouble one can get into when one's joystick is broken and I'm not allowed to buy a replacement.

    :D
