I think it has some to do with where it starts on the CV deck...aircraft should start from further back on the ship.
I just mean that chart is wrong : About p-38j from http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org/p-38/p-38.html It had DB 605 B engines, u can try any source, (i don't know exactly what is of enough authority for this subject) its 1475 hp at 110g2/g4.
DB 605 B is DB 605 A with gear ratio changed from 1:1.685 to 1:1.875, specially for sloow 110. same with DB 601 A-1/B-1; DB 601 N/P; DB 601 E/F/G*; DB 605 AM/BM _________________________ *G - 1:2.060
But, that's only for the P-38J right? This was only a test on a J variant. So, it is listed with 1180 HP and performs as well as the 1380 HP engines. And the 110G2 is more heavy. That was my confusion. BTW...I performed some testing with boa the other night and the 110G2 climbs with a dead engine as well as the beta P-38G.
